BENNINGTON — Southern Vermont’s cannabis community is on a high and wants to say thanks to the public that has embraced and supported their budding industry.

The year will mark the 2nd Annual 420 Festival on April 20, presented by Juniper Lane Cannabis, Little City Cider Co., and GreenMountain Vermont Cannabis News. The  event will be held at Little City Cider Co., 139 Shields Dr., Bennington, from 4 p.m. to midnight, featuring an evening of live music, delectable food and beverages, and the opportunity to connect with Vermont’s cannabis businesses.

“We want to bring the cannabis community together to celebrate cannabis, especially in southern Vermont,” said Colleen McQuade, owner of Juniper Lane Cannabis on Bennington’s Main Street. She said she hopes attendees connect with growers and meet other cannabis enthusiasts.

“I feel like it’s kind of a thank you to the community for supporting my business … a way to give back to the people who support us,” she said.

The festival’s highlights include live music starting at 7 p.m., featuring a special reunion performance by Freddi Shehadi, Sam Clement, and Matt Scott, along with a performance by Cab-3 (Pappy, Jami & Dylan of Cabinet). Food trucks will be on-site, offering a variety of flavors to complement the full bar service provided by Little City Cider Co.

In addition to the entertainment, the 420 Festival gives attendees  the opportunity to learn, connect, and explore the world of Vermont cannabis.

Tickets for the event are $15 online and $20 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the VT Cannabis Care Network, supporting its mission to provide assistance and resources to medical-cannabis patients in need.

Attendees will also have the chance to participate in door raffles throughout the evening.

Please note that there will be no cannabis sales on-site, and the festival is strictly for individuals aged 21 and above. Attendees are required to present their ticket and a valid ID upon arrival.
